New Zealand Paralympian athlete Tim Prendergast, who continues to inspire many by sharing his own experience of overcoming disability to succeed, was amongst the running crowd and finished in overall 22nd place in an excellent time of 1:16:59.
273 runners were raising money for headline charity Alzheimer’s Society, and over 220 Ealing Eagles took part in this year’s race.
The fastest runners in the Ealing Mini Mile, which covered a one-mile route around Lammas Park, were Maximilian Steel (6:10) and Millie Vadon (7:37) in the 6–11 years category. Luke Adar (5:30) and Feia Starkey (6:18) claimed first place in the 12-16 years category.
The prize giving was sponsored by Kantec with prizes supplied by ASICS, Up & Running and Ealing Half Marathon. The stunning winners’ trophies were provided by Burridge London, and each finisher received a unique Ealing Half Marathon 2015 memorabilia print by local artist Wayne Grace, alongside a medal and other goodies.

Race Director Kelvin Walker said: “The Ealing Half Marathon 2015 has been a huge success and we had a record number of runners cross the finish line in Lammas Park. We have made some improvements and additions to the race village which were very well received, and it was great to see so many runners and their families enjoy the festival atmosphere and celebrate their achievements in the park.
“I would like to express a big thank you to everyone who continues to support the race, including the volunteers, marshals, our sponsors, Ealing Council, the local businesses, communities and residents, and of course all the runners who sign up to run. A big thank you also goes to the six Anglican churches who were manning the water stations with their congregations and handing out water to the runners and keeping everyone hydrated.”
Official race partners for the 2015 race included Volvic®, ASICS, Up & Running, Move Clinics, Mercedes-Benz Brentford, Xempo, 1E, Kantec, Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre, Ealing Eagles and Ealing Council.
The organisers have confirmed that registration for the Ealing Half Marathon 2016, which will take place on Sunday 25th September, opened at midday on Monday 28th September.
