Britain’s only professional American football team, the London Warriors, are coming to West Ealing this weekend for one of the most important games of their inaugural European season. The Warriors face the Paris Lights at Ealing Trailfinders on Sunday 9 August at 2pm, in what will be their final home fixture before the playoffs.

The Warriors arrive in strong form, riding a four-game winning streak and building momentum at exactly the right moment. A playoff berth is on the line, and with Paris proving one of the league’s most competitive sides, the matchup promises intensity, physicality and high-quality football.

This is also the last chance for local fans to see the Warriors at home in their first season in the American Football League Europe (AFLE). The club joined the new professional league in this year, becoming its eighth and final franchise after stepping up from Britain’s domestic competition. Their move into the AFLE marked a historic moment for UK American football, placing a London team in a fully professional European structure for the first time.

The Warriors have long been a powerhouse of British gridiron, producing elite talent including Efe Obada, now an established NFL defensive end, and Aden Durde, who made history as a Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator. With the NFL’s popularity booming in the UK, the Warriors offer fans a high-performance, homegrown team competing at the top level of the European game.

Sunday’s match is expected to draw a strong crowd, with the club encouraging West London residents to experience the atmosphere, athleticism and entertainment of live American football on their doorstep.

Ealing Trailfinders is at Vallis Way, West Ealing, W13 0DD.

Tickets £20 plus fees (£10 concessions) are available here.
