Matt Dixon's Robot Artwork Being Auctioned


Paintings and sculptures available with proceeds going to Pitzhanger Manor


Matt Dixon's junkyard creations are currently part of an audio-visual experience

Digital artist Matt Dixon's robots are currently being exhibited in A Sense of Wonder at Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery.

His artwork - a mixture of fine art and sculpture pieces - is currently up for online auction until 5pm on the 11 December. This provides the opportunity to buy a unique Christmas present with all proceeds going towards Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery.

Any won lots will be available for collection from Pitzhanger directly from the 14 – 15 February 2023 after the exhibition ends.

Matt Dixon has more than 30 years’ experience within the video games industry, working as a senior artist on Disney features, Pirates of the Caribbean, Spyro the Dragon, and Harry Potter titles. The works included are from his Transmissions series, a personal body of work depicting robot characters that Dixon began in 2006 and continues to explore.

Open Sundays are taking place at the gallery on 4 December 2022 and 5 February 2023) with family activities inspired by A Sense of Wonder.

On 26 January 2023 there will be a special late programme with talks, creative activities inspired by A Sense of Wonder.

The next in Pitzhanger’s series of exhibitions responding to the design and architecture of Pitzhanger will be Anthony Caro and the Inspiration of Architecture. This exhibition of works by leading British abstract sculptor Sir Anthony Caro, will open on what would have been his 99th birthday on 9 March 2023.

The exhibition will be open Wednesday to Sunday 10am-5pm (late opening Thursday: 10am-7pm). Advance booking recommended at pitzhanger.org.uk. Tickets allow access to Pitzhanger Manor and the exhibition. Tickets cost £12 on weekdays and £14 on Saturday and Sunday with concessions at £6 and £7. Entry is free to members, under 4s and Historic Houses members with half price admission for ArtPass holders.
