Travellers Caught? Serious Fly-Tipping in Gunnersbury Park.

The scalleywags have been caught red-handed.Let's hope they all get fined and punished..and not just moved on.Their outrageous crime has been committed in Brentford Ward...IN BRENTFORD. Don't let them get away with it.

Agreed Robert.Brentford was invaded by undesirables.Our response was lame..in my view.They won the "3rd Battle Brentford" by a walk-over... And moved on unpunished (with our assistance) to crap on others.Brentford's response wasn't brilliant.

Yes I do know, as my Parents are Irish. Also these people asked my business if we wanted to dispose of rubbish on the cheap  (offer declined) . What's with all this racial stereotype crap. These locusts and parasites travel from one part of the country to another using and abusing without contributing one penny to society and they get away with it because people like you rush to their defence shouting racism, when its not about race its about abiding by the laws of the land.

Council funds that are spent clearing this away are presumably council funds that will no longer be available for use elsewhere.Aren't we supposed to be expecting more funding cuts?

I hope that the mess that has been made of our parks and the amount that it will cost US to clear it up will be advertised enough to make anyone who recently arranged for waste to be taken away from their home or business premises to question themselves on the decision they made and whether they were using a genuinely licensed waste carrier who was disposing of their waste legally.You can be fined if fly-tipping is traced back to you.https://www.gov.uk/report-an-environmental-incident

Eire has a huge problem with as they call them 'Tinkers'They are tolerated just the same as here.  But the problems are just the same. Petty crime and fly tipping and total disrespect for the places they set camp in.It is always a minority, many are nothing like that, but there is a hard core that carry on regardless.But like extremists they somehow manage to have a grip over everyone else and this allows them to carry on unhindered.

On a driving holiday around Ireland we found that the entrances to car parks had low bars overhead at the  entrance to stop caravans and high sided vehicles.

MaryNo need to over react.No one is using racial stereotypes. I guess the Republic of Ireland number plates on many of their vehicles was a bit of a clue to their origin :-).All of my Irish friends, including my daughter's fiancé, hate these 'ambassadors' from the Emerald Isle.

The problem in Gunnersbury Park is that there is a car park inside the park. Closing all vehicular access would inconvenience a lot of ordinary people. It may have to be tried, though.

I have never experienced this in Ireland. I don't think their Councils would tolerate such behaviour. I find Ireland neat, well kept and quite beautiful

And you know that they are Irish because ....? Anti-social and threatening behaviour is unacceptable from any group of people. But please don't use this issue as an opportunity to rehash tired and hurtful racial stereotypes. If you ever visit Ireland, Robert Ayres, you will discover that the desecration witnessed in our local parks this week is equally unacceptable over there.

Somebody hit on something in the thread on W4, why are they allowed to come and go, bringing back the rubbsih people are so glad to have them take away?  Why is the site not closed off for anything other than pedestrian access until they are removed?
