The noise from the machine didn't seem very significant when I saw it in action, and it shot along the road with its crew in tow so it looked the business. Ear protection is such a wise consideration, and there is also vibrations to consider, maybe.Talking about ear protection I went to our tip today (Spaceway) as Kew was closed. There are a lot of pavement works going on and I was sat at temporary traffic lights waiting to go onto the North Feltham trading estate (from the A4 end) and the guy alongside me digging up the pavement was using a very noisy jackhammer with no ear protection... I had my fingers in my ears for the short time I was sitting there. :-(
