Council notices

Now that we no longer have the Chronicle delivered (and so far I haven't found anywhere to pick one up from) where, online, can we access Hounslow council's notices - I'm talking road closures, planning, parking etc?

ASDA today only had the Hounlow, Heston & Whitton Chronicle.

There was a pile of Chronicles in a local newsagent when I popped in this morning. I picked one up but only spotted when I left that it was last week's. I went back and saw that there were actually two piles - one for this weeks and one for last. Worryingly for the Chronicle they were about the same height so I don't think many people are picking them up.

My local newsagent has taken to delivering the Chronicle with my D.Telegraph - so far have had the Hounslow/chiswick edition but this week for some reason the Ealing edition was delivered.

Why aren't the Council notices on the website?I know that by law they have to be published but the trouble is that no one place is really public now as people use so many different media to get their news and information from.How difficult would it be to put something that has to be put in a newspaper anyway on the website as well?

Unless I'm very much mistaken you won't find Council notices on the Council's website, along the lines of the type of notices you see in the paper anyway.  You will find the weekly list of every planning application submitted however.

Erm yes, or I wouldn't be on the forum and I have had a look on the council website but I'm obviously looking in the wrong bit. I shall persevere.

No I haven't had that in fact one told me it was going to be free a few weeks ago!

Most newsagents also try and charge 90p for a copy as well

The planning notices are all on the Council web site - they are slightly difficult to access but once you are there you can search on post code and ward. I found pending licensing notices but not ones that had been passed and others seem only to be available in the paper.I haven't been able to track down the Chronicle either - have you tried local estate agents? Someone suggested that they may have copies to give out.
