Bin Stolen

To the person who took a liking to our black bin in New rd yesterday you are a thief.Is it really coming to this that you have to bring your bins in the minute they are emptied to avoid vultures thinking it is free game?  We do the right thing and ensure the bags are in a bin to avoid foxes going through them sadly it is not the foxes we need to worry about.Please return

Lol... This surely isnt worth to blog about....bins go missing because kids love to mess around, or it is placed back in the wrong place.....there are far more better issues to write about

Speaking of rubbish containers stolen, we've recenttly had 3 green garden rubbish bags missing - all bags have our house number written on them - some neighbours have them! Please return them.

I don't know why this doesn't show that another post has been added.  It still says "0".One of the ways I have seen bins attached to the wall is with one of those stretchy elastics with hooks on the ends traditionally used for holding suitcases onto the roof-rack.I have one attached to the boundary wall with chain.  I also have the lid attached to the bin so that it can't disappear too easily.  I line the bin with a black bag and then tie it up ready for collection and leave the lid off.It seems to work.  I don't need to do this very often though because we can recycle so much kerbside that there is often less than a bread bag full of unrecyclable waste.  In fact it won't be a bread bag because those are recyclable at Sainsbury's with the carrier bags.
