Tentelow Lane School still stands..built in 1767!!

Talk about history staring one in the face...two of us stopped off at the Fuller's Plough Pub in Tentelow Lane...north of Osterley Park..for a quick refreshment on Wednesday night.It was a first visit there for 20 years. As we parked the car I noticed some small cottages etc in some detail...for a change. To our surprise one building had a plaque saying it was a free School..built in 1767 no less.Normally one would just drive by and not notice these things.The evening concluded at Madhu's Restaurant in South Street Southalllisted in the Good Curry Guide..as the best in the UK!

Keith: Yes it well lived up to its reputation...and was no disapointment.

Keith: Madhu's?  Its top. smart..a Princess welcomes you and shows you to your table...go upstairs..you could be in the Savoy Hotel...smart waiters and waitresses wearing black uniforms...very fine glasses, china and cutlery...we (two) had the usual poppadoms and sauces, then starters..onion Badji's..and a large plate of butter chicken..we hada bottle of Hildon Water and a £20 bottle of a Burgundy Red called Nuit St George...we had a main course...more chicken something and a vegetable curry and pilau rice...and sweets (fab)..and then tea and coffee..and including 17.5% vat..and no service charge even mentioned or begged..and including the £20 bottle of wine the bill came to....have a guess..best curry house in the UK.....have a guess?..and yes it was dissapointment ..I had been once before.  Top Service.How much???
