Bank Holiday in Chiswick?

Just checking various sites, and find that moments ago Chiswick Forum was boasting 102 members visiting the site, and over 100 postings already today.Brentford/Ealing/Acton/Putney, have the citizens of Chiswick some benefit not enjoyed by the rest of you?(Annie:  Back to the trench quickly......)!

Ah ANN, that's a nice thing to say. Thanks. I'm just trying to think of a nice song to send you by my mind is blank - my wife and I have been out to dinner tonight and I've had a glass too many of plonk!! ;-)

Ann: I've just got so behind with my admin..and business admin that I do at home. I'm ok when I go out and do my rounds etc.Yes the Forums are so rewarding...but Barclays Bank tell me that they have their doubts in my case!! :0(

Jim,Addictive...you better believe it!  Many's the time I sit down to write an article or letters (or work of any kind) and say to myself, "Just a quick peep at the Forums...!"Later I find all that I've done is "talk" to people I have never met - nor am ever likely to meet - about every bloomin' topic under the sun;  the jobs that I was supposed to have done are left for another day!Under the heading 'Drugs', now list - after fags,achohol and dope, the dreaded 'FORUMS'.(It's a great way to pass a couple of hours though, isn't it?  Just think of all the lovely folks I've met these past months).

Ann: the usuage of the Chiswick Forum is amazing really..and yesterday (Thursday) there were over 250 postings!!  following on from 200 a few days before.The Cllr Robert Oulds news must have swelled the interest on the site.Late night visitors to the sites can see the final figures..which seem to go on till 3am and later.So no Bank Holiday Ann..just that estate agents and others small busineses may have a bit more time on their hands...and the fact that these Forums become addictive ..as you may suspect!!

It is probably more to do with it being Friday and they've just come back to their desks after being out for Lunch...?  (quick move over in that darn trench, Ann!)Can you believe it, the other day I couldn't get onto the site because it WAS FULL!Do you mind if I sneak something else in here chaps?  It should go on that thread Vanessa started 'Is it something in the air..?', but I didn't want to start it all up again...  ;-)    ...So, Vanessa, Pssst, shush, very quietly, have you noticed there is a thread over on Chis-wick called    -  'Due to the often tense atmosphere on here.'  -  gotta laugh, haven't you!
