Rubbish road cleaning
The mini road cleaner is a menace and should be checked for road worthiness and removed.A few months ago it was loose in our street and after circling back and forward about 10 times I went out to take a look at what was going on … The driver was going over the areas he had covered to pick up piles of debris which the machine had swept out of the gutter and deposited in a line in the middle of the road. The driver had to go back and forward to try and sweep these piles up, and to be frank, it wasn’t actually working.Maybe he had been instructed to do this rather than leave the machine at the depot because it was faulty?I was out today and the same style one-man-operated-machine was being driven around digging out the stones and debris and again leaving the loose stones in a line about 2 feet from the gutter, in the same way. I took the camera back out with me when I had to go out the same way late afternoon. I thought I would send in the pictures to the Council. As we came down Wood Lane a motorcyclist came around the corner of Parkwood Road onto Wood lane, by the post box, hit the loose gravel and skidded over on its side into the middle of the road.Poor lad was pretty shaken and had to pick up his things from the road. There are obvious scratches on the road and his bike must be damaged, but he insisted on driving off. I suppose he is lucky that he could drive off.
