E111s
Found an interesting article about E111s. They are about to be replaced by a European health Insurance card. If you completed one last year - it is now out of date! They ran out on 31.12.04. Ones being issued now run until 31.12.2005, and if you 'tick-the-box' you will be sent the new Euro card automatically. You can download the forms needed from the site but you still have to take them to the Post office for validation.1. Web site www.dh.gov.uk2. Health Advice for Travellers3. Right hand box with a picture of new card - "The European Health Insurance Card and important changes to E111 form" a snippet of info from the site: "As a result of recent changes to European law a new E111 form has been introduced to replace the old one. If you are planning to travel to the countries concerned during 2005 you should apply for the new E111, as the old ones are only valid until 31st December 2004. The main difference between the old and the new form is that the new form is now issued on an individual, as opposed to a family, basis. However, you will only need to complete one application form in order to receive E111s for you, your spouse/partner and children. The new E111 form will be valid until 31st December 2005."
