The worthy Isleworth Society website does not seem to have pictures of the unveiling but there is some text in the current news section:"Such a shame that well intentioned installation of a memorial commemorating the many civilians in Isleworth killed during World War ll bombing, should be overshadowed by controversy. Leaving aside rights or wrongs of the wording giving prominence to a Ward Councillor’s name, a widely held view is Memorial Square would have been a more suitable location than The Green. Press reports claimed IBAF “approved” the cost and location, while meeting minutes when Councillors received a verbal report, record them being “supportive of a plaque”. Finance came from LBofH’s “community engagement fund”, somewhat ironic in light of the paucity of consultation with residents or local associations"
