It appears from the latest controversy emerging from Boris towers that the Labour party doesn't approve of politicians attempting to do two jobs at once. Does anyone else round here find that funny?

I reckon Boris does about 10 jobs at once already... assisted by a flottila of aids... er I mean helpers.

Oh! It's certainly not the first time - don't expect it will be the last either. I do - very occasionally admittedly - think this awful government gets something right, no-one has a monopoly on always being right do they?

Can't believe you two giants of local issues agree on something.

Amen to that.

In Ken's defence he was already an M.P. when he stood for Mayor - and then he didn't stand at the next election. Personally I don't think any M.P. should have a job outside Parliament. Pay them more, drop the exes and then they can pay for everything out of their salary like the rest of us.

Given that Livingstone did it too during his first mayoral term, then yes.
