Controlled Zone signs in Clifden Road near Windmill Road

At the Windmill Road end of Clifden Road there are four 'no waiting' signs, all about ten to fifteen feet from each other. Two are small yellow signs saying Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm and two are large signs saying Controlled Zone Mon-Fri 9:30am-5:30pm. I assume the small yellow signs mean there is no waiting on the single yellow lines Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm, but if that's the case, what's the controlled zone indicated by the other much larger signs?

Thanks Richard. That answers my question, although it seems non-standard to have the signs which apply to Windmill Road/train station environs to be in a different road entirely - ?I wonder how many people have been caught out thinking the hours on the large signs apply to the yellow lines. I didn't even see the smaller signs until they were pointed out to me. When the trees are leafy and overgrown that corner is in near darkness at night.

The small signs refer to the times when you cannot park on the single yellow lines.The larger Controlled Zone signs are accompanied with the red and blue No Waiting symbol which means you cannot wait on the lines during the times shown.  This is meant to stop people waiting on the lines to drop off or pick passengers.

These signs are shown on Google Street View in images dated 2012, so they're not new. The small signs give the no-waiting times for the yellow line at the end of Clifden Road. The large Controlled Zone signs face drivers who are leaving Clifden Road to enter Windmill Road, and are therefore entering Zone "B Stn", the zone around Brentford Station.

As nothing has been legally approved or actioned, it is either an error by over zealous contractors jumpin gthe gun or relates to the Butts zone in the other direction.Either way, it is worth calling Andrew Nye the council officer as our newly elected counciillors do not seem to communicate unlike Matt Harmer who at least did take the trouble to keep locals informed.
