Hounslow Borough's Overview and Scrutiny Committee

Two things....I notice that in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham that there are..I believe..members of the public co-opted onto the O and S Committee.   But not at Hounslow. Any reason for this?Secondly I notice that Cllr Hughes is on this Committee..and have been reading some of his messages on this and the Chiswick Forum.

Gareth: I've noted what you've said.I was at the Isleworth and Brentford Area Committee meeting tonight..and listened to Cllr Colin Ellars give a Report on the Council's 2004/2005 budget etc..and proposals for the forthcoming Council Tax hike.From an independent point of view, I thought that his speech delivery was excellent.  Maybe he is one of those talented speakers..who sounds impressive..whether or nor he believes in what he is uttering !!!

In a democracy it is reasonable to expect councillors to reflect the full range of abilities that exist within the community at large. I agree John, but while the likes of Cllr John Chatt, Cllr Colin Ellar and Cllr David Hughes are on the council shouldn't we all be worried?
