Brilliant Brentford Festival

In the shadow of the concern of the fate of the missing 14 year old, it was with that in mind that made me wonder if it would cast over the Brentford Festival.Whilst it was prominent in peoples thoughts and conversations, it did not detract from a really superb day. A big thanks to all who participated and clearly pulled out the stops to make it a really good local event.  Blondin Park is a pretty good venue.The bus display was super and the whole family enjoyed a whizz around Ealing on a Routemaster.Well done and thanks very much from all of us.

Thank you all for the lovely comments which make it all worthwhile from our end.  My particular thanks go to three people who have tirelessly helped deliver this successful day: Virginia Fassnidge who has been working on  co-ordinating the stall holders since February  and to Rob Russell and Carol Lamb who have kept me in check and co-ordinated the many volunteers.  Until next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's people like Linda who are the real champions of our community.  Shame there aren't more of them, but we should be creating the environment in which they are encouraged to excel.

That's really great to hear and thanks for reporting. Nothing like a good day at our local festival which we all know from past experience is so well organised and a pleasure to be at.Unfortunately I was unable to attend... falling unwell at the last moment with an on/ off illness. All our thoughts, as you say, concerned the fate of Alice.Well done again to Linda Masses and team.
