Keep the Cows!  They're a quirky statement, gladdening the heart and soul of all who pass by in this age of greyness and uniformity.

All credit to Joachim Jellinek and the support given by Cllr. Richard Foote in re-instating the cows, it was a condition of a planning agreement some years ago when the old cows were auctioned off that new replacements must be kept, and quite right too.

That's right... the location used to Job's Dairy at Hanworth.On Job's memorabilia website is this picture by David Watsonshowing a couple of the cows overlooking the M3.

Were they originally the Job's Better Milk Dairy Cows?Is it that Dairy Crest very expensive marketing and advertising agency could not come up with a better symbol for a Dairy produce plant so had them removed as sour grapes?I wondered where they had gone, Moving Cows what a great idea.And Electric Milk Floats...nah will never catch on.

Good news indeed.  While Dairy Crest are at it, I'd like the cows to be a bit larger - they're rather dwarfed by that great concrete lump of a building and agree that they should move about a bit to a new position every now and then.
