The line already exists. It used to go rught through Brentford to what is now Brentford Dock housing estate. The bridges  and arches are next door to the petstore. The other bridge crossed the A4 at Transport Avenue and also served the wharf at commerce road.A very integrated network all properly planned and laid out to allow industry and transport to be fully integrated, Road, Rail and river. There is also another railway platform at Kew Bridge Station which links to the norther mainlines and the North London Line ( Now the Overground.  The derelict platforms can be easily seen from the top of a 237 or 267 bus  and the connecting tunnel for passengers is at the foot of the stairs of the waterloo bound platform. Not much is now viable without huge costs as almost all is now built over. It's all PR spiel. What would be viable would be a reintstatement of a fast train service to waterloo as we had a few years ago courtesy of GSK section 106 money. This was just 16 mins into the centre of London and by far the fastest means.Currently it is quicker into London from Woking and Guildford than it is from Brentford. The loop line is still under capacity and the extra platforms at Waterloo are on the correct side of the station for  Richmond, Weybridge, Ascot and Reading trains. But for some reason the council are more keen to push pie in the sky ideals rather than immediate benefits.Probably because it means real work negotiating rather than cushy hospitatilty and dreaming with developers.
