Diwali tonight Wed 22nd Oct

It's Diwali tonight - so expect to hear fireworks throughout the evening/night.  Maybe a good night to keep cats and dogs safely inside.  I really like Diwali - it's a great festival  of light and the fireworks can be fun.

With my mobile phone I was able to capture some of the sounds of happy Heston and Southall this evening at 10pm.  It was quite a sight but beyond my video recording ability.Dare you to turn the volume up!

Coming home via Hayes last night lots of houses festooned with lights -really nice in the darkness.

It's all quiet on the horizon so far and I reckon that you are out by one day.Tomorrow, Thursday, all will be let loose firework wise....as confirmed on the Ealing Forum....and there will be panoramic views of hundreds of displays till 1am if you soar high enough!There were a couple of feeble displays earlier this evening and some last night too (Sipson area?)....so enjoy the peace and quiet whilst it lasts.It's a time of giving gifts I believe... so please leave mine at the Champagne Bar at the top of the Kew Eye! (Is it open yet?)
