Commerce Road and Tallow Road junction sequencing
Am I the only one to believe that the phasing of the traffic lights at the Commerce Road/A315 junction is completely out of sync with traffic flows ? - especially for eastbound traffic from London Road which often has to wait for ages, firstly whilst traffic from the High Street is still heading west (and also allowing for traffic turning right into Commerce Road - which usually amounts to a couple of vehicles yet lasts for ages), and then another substantial delay for traffic turning right left or right out of Commerce Road.The issue is further exacerbated by the traffic lights at the Tallow Road junction, which also generally give far too long a period for the light traffic volumes turning out of Tallow Road, which at peak times results in queuing traffic back to the Commerce Road junction.Thus these two issues often result in eastbound traffic queuing all the way back to the Hilton or beyond.Planet Traffic strikes again ?.
