New local history book

The Little Ealing History Group has just published a new local history book. 'An American President in Ealing: The John Quincy Adams Diaries 1815–1817' is based on the detailed diaries kept by future US President John Quincy Adams when he lived with his family at Little Boston House in Windmill Road on the border of Ealing and Brentford. The book gives a fascinating account of his impressions of all aspects of life and society in the Brentford and Ealing area at the time together with maps and colour illustrations. The 96 page book is available for £10 and can be ordered from our website: littleealinghistory.org.ukWe are marketing the book ourselves so please help us spread the word!
