The wonderful Hounslow council issuing parking tickets on Boxing Day on The Ham in Brentford. Many football followers left cars there and will return after a defeat to discover that. Sums it all up, absolute scandal.

I thought this had stopped after they started picking on pensioners and carers picking up and dropping off and having nowhere to stop other than on yellow lines put in purely to suit extra long refuse vehicles.Sorry to hear it is starting again.

They often do this around here. It's not uncommon for them to be waiting in cars and pounce on people who park on the yellow lines to pick up kids for football etc at weekends. Not really what the yellow lines were put there for. They were put in to allow longer wheelbase refuse trucks and to keep corners clear for pedestrians.A few mins at weekends to pick up and drop off does not really harm anyone. But this is typical of what happens when these 'services' get contracted out.Targets have to be met and profits must be made.

Unfortunately, the signs in Hamilton Rd say the restrictions apply Mon-Sat, not 'Mon-Sat, except Bank & Public holidays'. Quite a few London councils do the same thing. Personally, I think that's fair enough.

Yes Anne, the single yellow lines at the end of the road along with the ones in Windmill Road.

Why Clifden or do you mean on the yellow lines at the end of the road? (Maybe you mean Hamilton?)

The council excel at issuing those tickets. It's diabolical. Surely today is classed as a bank holiday. Makes me so so angry.

All the cars along Windmill Rd & Clifden Rd also.
