Old WW2 site grand Union canal/river brent

Can anyone recall a WW2 site between Brentford and Hanwell just off the towpath? It has been demolished for some years now, but I can't find any knowledge of it on the net.I believe it was on the northern towpath (fox pub side) and consisted of a two or three storey block building, with a separate cell block building and had a very large anti aircraft gun to the side.The place definitely existed, as I used to hang around there as a kid, but I may have the location wrong?

Paul, Jim, Nigel, thanks for all your info, knew it was there somewhere!I remember the gun very well at the three bridges, but had no idea it was the same one!Nigel, your description was exactly as i remember it, cheers.

Remember it well Andy.Just off the bottom of Trumpers Way, there was a blockhouse, a pillbox and the AA gun.It was used for may years by the Sea Scouts and was, IIRC, TS Westcott until that moved, gun and all, to a site by Three Bridges (now itself closed).The 'young matelots' used to regularly hang about and wait for the Scouts from the 7th Hanwell who met at The Warren which was almost next to the site. We were only 'bested' once. :-)
