Anyone going to Southampton

Now the Bees a through who on this site is going to St.Marys to watch them beat Southampton.I would love to go but a day trip from Sydney is not on.

Hi NeilAs I see it anybody who has purchased tickets online and has been issued a receipt has a contract, and by refusing to supply them with tickets BFC would be in breach of that contract.  At the very least they would be able to sue through the County Court for recovery of their train fare, monies lost through cancelled work, etc.  As the amounts involved would be small BFC would either have to conduct its own defence or pay a solicitor or barrister from its own resources, as these costs cannot be recovered in a Small Claims action unless the case being brought is deemed to be frivolous, which it clearly isn't.One possible defence for BFC might be if the tickets were issued in error and that the purchaser should reasonably have been expected to know this (i.e. was knowingly taking advantage) but the burden of proof would rest with the club.  If recent indications are anything to go by I don't rate its chances of organising a successful legal defence.

It appears the BFC B*lls up continues. It appears they are not sending tickets to people who bought them over the net, even if the money has come out of your account, unless you are a Season Ticket Holder.Some people have bought train tickets on the assumption that once the money went out of the account the tickets were yours.Is this action illegal?

AS I SAID EARLIER IT WAS A TOTAL SHAMBLES TO GET TICKETS. A BLOKE IN FRONT OF ME BOUGHT TICKETS TOTALING £500 !!! THAT WORKS OUT AT LEAST 16 TICKETS..IT WAS MORE THOUGH BECAUSE HE PURCHASED JUNIOR TICKETS TOO !!!IT JUST GOES TO SHOW BRENTFORDS LACK OF FORESIGHT AND THE MICKEY MOUSE WAY THE CLUB IS RUN. I SPOKE TO JOHN MCGLASHAN 10 DAYS AGO PRIOR TO THE HARTLEPOOL REPLY AND HE WAS CONFIDENT THAT ANY ALLOCATION OF TICKETS THAT BRENTFORD WOULD BE GIVEN WOULD BE SOLD.SO IT SEEMS SOMEBODY WITHIN THE CLUB MADE A VERY BAD ERROR OF JUDGEMENT TO REFUSE THE FULL ALLOCATION. HEADS SHOULD ROLL FOR THAT.

Brentford's behaviour to their fans today is scandalous if the front page story is correct. They should have taken the chance to have the full allocation - any fool could see that they would sell out with Southampton being an hour away.To compound this there was no reservation system ie season ticket holders and premium contributors (such as any who are members of a lifeline scheme or such) should have been given priority. Then the name list for those who went to Hinckley, Luton and Hartlepool. Finally, if any were left they should have gone on general sale. This is what happens at other clubs - my own team drew Arsenal away in the cup earlier on, took a chance and sold the full 5000 allocation on the basis set out - even though we have an ID scheme in place restricting away travel (so casuals couldn't go).I feel so sorry for friends and colleagues who are season ticket holders or regular attenders and haven't got a ticket. If it were me, when the season ticket renewal comes round I'd soon tell them where to stick it !.If the front page is correct then the person who took the decision to sell them this way should be collecting his/her P45 tomorrow.

Brentford took 3190 tickets instead of the full allocation of 4750. This is a disgrace. All the Directors of BFC had to do was read the Griffin Park Grapevine to see how many people were intending to go. It is time for the Directors who were apponited by Bees United to resign.

Have just 'phoned Brentford FC (got through against all odds, apparently) having previously been advised that getting a ticket would be no problem, to be told that all seats are now sold out.If there is a shortage of tickets then it is only fair if the regulars have them rather than those such as myself who only manage to get to a minority of games.  However, it would appear that the club only accepted 3,200 of its permitted allocation of 4,200 tickets.  If this is the case 1,000 seats which could have gone to Brentford supporters will now be allocated to Southampton fans.  Very disappointing.

HI NEIL, IM GOING TO SOUTHAMPTON JUST PURCHASHED MY TICKET TRAVELLING DOWN BY TRAIN FROM BRENTFORD CENTRAL. IT WAS THE NORMAL SHAMBLES TO GET THE TICKET THOUGH AS THEY WERE SELLING THEM IN STRIPES BAR WHICH DID NOT HAVE A FACILITY TO TAKE CARDS !!! IT RESULTED IN 4 PEOPLE RUNNING UP TO THE CLUB OFFICES WITH VARIOUS CARDS TO TAKE PAYMENTS !!! ANYWAY I REALLY THINK BRENTFORD HAVE A CHANCE OF TURNING THE SAINTS OVER ON SATURDAY.IS KEVIN GOING TO THE GAME ? IF SO I COULD PLAN TO MEET HIM DOWN THERE.                  CHEERS...MARK.
