Food festival

What a scam....i can see people looking down on Brentford....even a food festival is advertising syon park in Richmond....surely this mis advertisement...from what i can see, Syon pRk is in Brentford..... That’s Strange as Richmond upon Thames is in Surrey, also the Surrey side of the Thames Syon House and Gardens are located in Brentford on the Middlesex side of the Thames and their address is Syon House, Syon Park, Brentford, TW8 8JF So Kieth was right, My dad  who came from Liverpool always said he only came to London to educate us on how to speak correctly ;0)

In an idle moment, I've just done an advanced Google search on their website and the word "Brentford" does not appear at all.  "Syon" and "Richmond" feature 68 times each.Brentford site:http://foodiesfestival.comKeith's assessment would appear to be correct as of this moment: "a lie".

I have just spoken to Bill McKay and he seems very nice and the festival aimed mostly at high end caterers. I got the impression that as soon as I mentioned that Syon is in fact a ward in Brentford and is not even in the same county nor on the same side of the river as Richmond, he couldn't wait to get me off the phone. He even said that on the website it is advertised as being in Brentford but that would appear to be a lie. What is the matter with these people?

Pretty appalling example of out and out snobbery, what is it with these people? If their festival was that good I doubt people would mind where it was situated.

I doubt it, but it would be poetic justice if half their trade didn't make the festival because they were wandering around Richmond looking for Syon Park.  Snobs.
