Closed Society?

Why is it every time mary Macleod et all have a summit, chin wag or session of Brentford, we only hear about it afterwards?Why is an invite to these sorts of things which by definition are supposed to be open to all, never posted on this website or any other local communication?I have a keen input and have picked up some rather interesting nuggets of info through my occupation and would gladly contribute and hear what is being suggested, discussed and so on.My wife is registered with several Brentford Community groups and she had no invite or notice on such a meeting.This is not really good enough in theses times.This forum and the TW8 website is now as popular as a local paper and word of mouth regularly refers to it.So come on all you cliques in denial, Prove it and communicate.!

Well, the vast majority don't do twitter or faecebook and if it was on TW8 Where?I still can't find it.Why was a simple entry on this forum not done? It's where people communicate.As for eventbrite what the hack is that?We got no flyers, my wife and I no emails and so far no others we know had a flyer instead. Are they all sitting in a pile at the waste transfer station.As I said before, this is not the first time.Ms Macleod is very good at putting out press releases that seem to make the media post event but pre event it always seems to be selected guests only and always the same names quoted.Very unhappy about this.

Dear Raymond,Honestly, we did try to get the word out about this meeting as much as we could. There was a notification on TW8 and we delivered thousands of flyers around Brentford and Syon as well as advertising on Eventbrite and tweeting and emailing everyone we knew would have an interest and asked them to circulate to family and friends.Mary has 3 more similar sessions coming up if you are interested, including one on Heathrow expansion on 11th March from 7-8pm at West Thames College.

I too was rather bemused reading the front page report about this meeting, which was the first I've ever heard of it myself.
