Night Flights

Have just received a flyer from "Back Heathrow" - demonstrating the huge support from people all over SW London, including Brentford, for a third runway and general expansion.  Then I remembered how nice it's been in Brentford for the past 10 days with no 04:30 landings and minimal daytime landings due to a flightpath change.  It's so nice to be able to sleep beyond 04:30.  Are Brentford people really that positive about expansion at Heathrow?  Is it only me that wakes at 04:30 most mornings without fail?

I heard that their surveys are manipulated. IMO any survey or poll should only be conducted on people on the electoral register.

Yes, I wake with the dfirst flight at 4.30 Had visitors 2 weeks ago and they could not believe how awful it was. At least with the east wind we have had a few day's break.

I get woken up by Heathrow most mornings. If they're not flying I wake up at the same time out of habit. And if it's sunny the birds get excited.

Ha ha. Genuis. So still no idea what the helicopter is doing. The other week there was one over Syon park for ages. Wish it would piddle off north.

Personally speaking, and being honest, neither bothers me at all.  Admittedly we don't live directly under the flightpath, and perhaps I'm used to it because my parents live directly under the flightpath of a small airport (Humberside) so as a kid I'd see/hear planes flying over several times a day, but I actually enjoy hearing and seeing planes and helicopters.  Clanking manhole covers are a different matter entirely ;-)
