Brentford on the telly

I have been watching the really interesting "Great Canal Journeys" with Timothy West and Prunella Scales.  Episode 2 starts off with a brilliant view of Goat Wharf and Brentford Lock as Prunella and Timothy start their journey at the Brentford Lock.  Then up to Hanwell, Little Venice, Camden, The City and eventually ending in the Limehouse basin.  If was good to see the local area and the entire programme is very interesting, made all the more special by touching comments regarding Prunella's deteriorating health and memory.  Episode 2 Channel4 - catch up on iplayer if you are interested.

Of course it was Anne!! Just made me think of my old customer's (I worked for a school outfitters a couple if years ago ) when I asked for their address.....had to really control my smirk!! I love living in Brentford ..

I was gobsmacked in the middle of the leaders debate tonight to see Brentford on the telly.Yes, it really was the interior of the River Cafe on North Kew's own Albany Parade at the start of the 'Register to Vote' advert:https://www.youtube.com/user/ElectoralCommission1PS really good idea to register if you haven't already - only a few days left

Lovely programe so nice to watch and interesting the way Brentford was the major inland waterways port

I also recommend this programme - Timothy and Prunella really knew what they were talking about. If you don't have a boat you can follow their tracks on foot along the towpath.JL.
