House names: any interesting ones in Brentford & Isleworth?

I was driving along London Road,Isleworth today..and noticed an old victorian house (sheltered behind a hedge and a wooden gate) with the name "Salopian House" affixed to the house wall..in metal script.So: I immediately recognised "Salopian" as being the Old Boys' name for a famous public school...and to which some famous people once attended.1) Are there any interesting house names in your area?2) Do you know who Salopians are?

Keith: Yes, Shropshire is the connection...and Shrewsbury is the Public School..who has an Old Boys Club called Salopians...and they have a football club in London.Michael Heseltine went to Shrewsbury School once upon a time.

Jim, I know that the county of Shropshire used to be called Salop in the 1970's when the idiots in power then changed the name of some counties(also removed Manchester and Liverpool from Lancashire)...There is a block of rather uninteresting looking flats opposite Kew Bridge Stn. called Temeraire House,poss. named after the ship immortalised in Turner's Fighting Temeraire
