Just where do you think that Cameron and co were to get the money to pay for a  for a strong military?  By getting big outfits to pay their tax might have been a start, and stopping giving tax breaks to people who already have a lot. The stupidity of keeping wages low and taking people out of tax instead of a decent living wage and paying your due would also help.

However consider that she was indeed quite disliked by many, many of the people who originally voted her into office, despite the expenses issue she still lost to Mary Macleod by only about 2000 votes I believe. That would seem to indicate that many still voted for the 'party' rather than for Ann Keen herself.Hence you need to focus now on the present. A vote for anyone other than Ms Macleod will ensure Ms Cadbury's victory.

Add to that he sold our gold off at a knock down price and told the market when he was going to do it losing billions and when he was asked one question about immigration he branded an innocent woman a racist. "Pension" - he should be paying back the wages he was paid. As for Blair, he should be standing trial for war crimes.

STEVE, I understand what you are telling me and I would do everything in my power to see the anti-English Labour get voted out.  Also nobody has mentioned my honesty on the previous Vile Labour MP called Ann Keen THE HIGHWAY ROBBER who robbed this town rotton with her MP expenses and lived in Brentford on the odd occasion eventually the squatters moved in and took over her property. She also claimed for a 2nd home in Canary Wharf on taxpayers money.

Yes Betty, but as much as Richard seems to be personally a likeable chap, and obviously a highly intelligent barrister, a vote for him will be a vote against Ms Macleod and will put Ms Cadbury in parliament.

The UKIP candidate for BRENTFORD is Richard Hendron. I know Mr.Farage isn't standing for BRENTFORD but we can vote for him on election day on MAY 7TH. I would never vote for the Anti-ENGLISH Labour Party or the likes of Ruth Cadbury or  Steve Curran these are people I would avoid in the graveyard, putting it bluntly I detest plastic people like them.

However, it will be pointless to shout again when Ms Cadbury wins because because some have voted with their hearts instead of tactically. You will end up with a labour led council and a labour MP. You will be invited to sing along with the Cadbury / Curran duet at Brentford Lock. Perhaps you won't be able to sleep at night with Ms Macleod serving you for another five years? But will you be able to sleep at night with Ms Cadbury and Mr Curran controlling you and Hounslow? Not sure if you are aware but Mr Farage isn't actually standing in Brentford so you can't vote for him.

Totally agree. IMO Gordon Brown is a decent and honourable human being. Unfortunately not a good pm or chancellor. I think he was actually too decent and idealistic to be in active politics

That is not fair - Gordon Brown - much as I thought he was not a good P.M. has refused the ex-P.M.s pension and most of the money he and his wife earn goes to a charitable foundation. Like him or loathe him, of all the senior politicians his integrity is pretty much intact, and it wouldn't harm a few more to take a leaf out of his book.

Well it's only to be expected really, as the election draws nearer politicians of all parties just can't remeber all the bullshit they have been feeding the public in their desperate attempts to gain power.. All the parties do the same: tell the mugs anything and once we get in we will do what we like, especially Labour who left the coffers empty - well, all except Tony Blair and Gordon Brown's coffers!

It does seem rather pathetic to me that anyone would make a big thing of someone having a mental block at the worst possible time, and it certainly wouldn't influence how I voted.If I voted of course, it's been a good 16/17 years since I last voted and I have no inclination to do so this time either...although if it was a two horse race between UKIP and A N Other that would certainly get me to the polling station to vote for A N Other !.

While I found the sudden mental block amusing, I have to agree with Phil that it is something that can happen to any of us. There was something in that interview that I found much more disconcerting though.Earlier this year there was a series of TV commercials warning young people of the dangers of saying 'Errr' in job interviews. When Ms Cadbury finally managed to start speaking, I was unable to focus on what was being said as I found myself trying, but failing, to keep track of how often she said 'Errr'!

From an outsider's perspective it was certainly funny, but those of us who have sat at council and committee meetings with Ruth will know that she is depressingly familiar with the Party Line, which in other circumstances she could probably chant verbatim and probably does in her sleep and across the breakfast table.It can be disconcerting trying to speak into a television camera, as I have sometimes found to my own cost.  She won't be getting my vote and she knows why, but I'm inclined to be empathetic on this one.
