Jacket Size

Can anyone help me.If a jacket has the measurements as follows what size is this is it M, L, XL etc etc??Armpit to Armpit 24.5"Shoulder to Shoulder 21"Neck to bottom (length) 33"Under Arm to Wrist 17.5"In the add it said 48" chest but in the email i got sent it stated a 42r

Using the dimensions you have given it would appear you have a straight jacket made for a grizzly bear.

Marks have a selection which include machine washable.  We often buy a selection on line then take back the unwanted ones once we have sized them.  Cheers

Would that it were so simple as there is no standardisation between suppliers on what constitutes an XL or L etc.'Pit to pit' is normally half of the chest size but, then again, it depends on cut.I did a bit of Googling and on some sites 48 chest is an XL and on others an XXXL !
