Is a vote for Ruth Cadbury a vote to break up the UK?

If Ruth Cadbury should be elected is that one seat closer to Ed Miliband doing a deal with The SNP and Nicola Sturgeon?

Steve, you obviously failed your geography GCSE as you cannot locate these flats for mere mortals like myself. If the flats are not the ones I suggested could you please give a better idea as to location. You also have no idea as to the realities of accessing social housing. Thinking your comment through though reveals that social housing should not be in 'nice locations', like beside the river, in Brentford, in London? What sort of society do you seek for Steve???

As a slight aside, I note the UKIP candidate has been planting leaflets on car windscreens around Brentford Dock today, or somebody on his behalf at least.  Amusingly it features a photo of him with a pint in his hand, which I guess then must be the stock UKIP pose.What did impress me though was that he appeared to have drunk most of it, perhaps whilst waiting for the photographer to get the angle right.  By contrast Farage's pint glass always appears to be full, leading me to suspect that he is a secret malibu and pineapple man once the press pack is gone.

STEVE TAYLOR  I cannot speak for his wife but I suggest Natalie Bennett returns to Australia with her political rubbish and Ed Miliband should return to the circus as a clown because that is what he is and hopefully he does a disappearing act.  MR. FARAGE a man who speaks the truth and is for the country  could end up in number 10 Downing Street because the dreaded thought of Ed Miliband and Natalie Bennett is a complete joke and would be a total disaster.

Nope - drive up past MacDonalds over the bridge turn left etc etc. All for lower income families, single mums or people on benefits. Beautiful flats. Wouldn't really like to hazard a guess at open market value but why not - say a 2 bedroomed with lovely balcony £550K ??? Some have complained though that the Council hasn't given them an allocated free parking spot though. I guess that the austerity measures imposed by central government has made it a tad difficult to give everyone on benefits a free parking space though. Times are tough though!

Hi VanessaAs Steve said, that is where it is happening (and not just new build flats in Brentford, all over the UK). In order to get housing in the UK, all you have to do is  have a child and stay in a b&b for three months and the council move you up the list. I have spoken to people in the park (at Waterman’s) and there are a number of couples doing this. They pay £420 rent a month and reduced council tax. People know how the system work. You can even pay a person in the region of £100, and they will fill in the benefit forms for you, so you get maximum. This is life, there are people who will exploit the system.In ref to “Shanty Town”, we are talking about people’s homes here. Its not nice to direct comment to them, as some are unable to afford to move, and in most cases are nice people, just a small group give a bad name for the area. Also Iain the issue here is anyone on Benefits cannot use benefit money to buy a house for themselves. It’s sad, but because when new flats are built, a certain % needs to go to welfare state, and the private sector need to pay for that in increased pricing.  Its sad, but I think the last government built a society on benefits and now we are unable to go backwards.

If you mean the Bellway and NHHG new builds adjacent to the Watermans all the flats were either outright open market sale or shared ownership. Therefore unaffordable for anyone on benefits. Any more right wing propaganda you would like to share????

Or, there could be a good number of people like me who have a postal vote but who have never used it as such. Basically, I vote on the paper and walk it around to the polling station. I got the postal vote in case I should ever be away on the day.I do, however, agree that the postal vote may be open to just a bit of 'corruption and misuse' although how much is another matter. Why do you think so and what is the significance of 20% postal votes in Brentford and Isleworth?

Vanessa Smith  I suggest you take a good look at parts of Brentford where the Labour Run Anti-English Hounslow Council are housing these immigrants (under welfare) in brand new flats and big houses and in certain parts of this town looks like a shanty town. I like Farage. I have listened carefully to his views on immigration, education, defense, foreign aid and so on and they all make a lot of sense.One of thwe things he would like to do is stop the current postal vote system which is so open to corruption and misuse to be virtually useless.In the last election for instance, 20% of all votes cast in Brentford and Isleworth were postal votes - there's got to be something wron there.

Wow I can see this election means alot to people. Please dont shout back with CAPITAL LETTERS, but this is just a forum to discuss views. So here are mine:Conservative - Done a good job getting the country back where it should and have got quite a few poeple off welfare, when it became their life. Issue is they need to make the unpopular decisions. Labour - Not sure if i trust Labour with tax payers money. All Ed will do is increase the welfare bill, and some of the policies are lies. How on earth can he force private companies to take on young staff. There is a reason why it is private. Also of course he will go in power with SNP, and there is no way we should allow SNP to govern UK policies. Lib Dem - Lost them when they bottled the tution feeUKIP - Dont shout but they actually seem OK. At least they are honest. Betty Day – I do find your posts about people (labour or other) as being anti English, quite offensive and totally unnecessary. I think you need to chill out and reflect upon the wonderful and diverse communities we have in London.  I have not hidden the fact that I will support Mary Macleod in this election because I believe the Conservatives have done a good job since inheriting the financial mess from Blair / Brown / Darling / Balls / Byrne et el.  However I am proud of the fact, and relish the fact that we live in this diverse community.  I happen to live in an area where most of my friends and neighbours are Spanish, Zimbabwean, Polish, Indian, Pakistani, Czech, Ugandan, French, Austrian,  Colombian, Japanese, Thai  and Irish .  Some of these  friends are gay or lesbian, teachers, immigration lawyer, nurses,  policeman, accountant, advertising executive, IT professional, accountant, forensic scientist, landscape gardeners  and tradesmen.  We are all friends, we all respect each other, we all help each other and we all pay taxes. We don’t fight about parking spaces, we all have keys to each others houses in cases of emergency and we share each others Karchers, weed killer , BBQ gas bottles, gazibo’s,  garden furniture etc etc etc.  If someone is away or on holiday, we put their rubbish out. We look after each other. We behave as a community should behave. There are even a few English people who join in the friendship and good neighbourliness.  However the majority of the bad eggs / bad apples within the community just happen to be English. The ones who DON’T pick up the litter, the ones who DON’T consider others when parking, the ones who DON’T  put their litter out neatly or on the correct day, the ones who DON’T  mix or integrate, the ones who allow their houses to look like 3rd world tips,  are English.  Why is that?  Is this YOUR English that you want everyone to love and cherish and look up to as the master race?
