Disappointingly low turn out from Hounslow residents for this meeting. Although to be fair the publicity wasn't that good, there will be extra 'drop-in' sessions over the coming months which it might be useful to attend. It doesn't look as though those of us on Worple Estate or Ivybridge will be getting Resident's Access Passes. The junction at Mogden Lane and Twickenham Rd. will be closed at times and there will be other local road closures. So if you do happen to get caught and like us, you would normally turn right onto Twick. Rd. to get home you will be sent along Hall Rd. down Worton Rd. (bearing in mind the popularity of the Royal Oak with Rugby fans)and subsequently right onto the Twickenham Rd. The traffic there just up from the awful mini roundabout to the A316 roundabout which id jammed solid at times since the closure of Cole Park should be a delight. That's not to take into account the periodic closure of the A316, and quite where 'through' traffic is to be directed wasn't that clear. I fear some of it may well be directed from St. Margaret's roundabout down to Isleworth and thence to South St.?? This may be something that some of us will need to pursue and we will need to be careful what we arrange to do on match days. Clearly you can't provide for every individual with something this big but another look at resident's needs might be required. I would urge anyone locally to go along to any information sessions and talk to the people organising all this.
