The shop appears to be closed ...anyone know why?

I went to the barber yesterday and asked the ladies there for an update. The one lady said she had seen the 'owner' of Taylors walking in South Street a couple of times but he didn't go near the shop.Very strange indeed

Very strange. As far as I can see nobody seems to have been in since he closed the doors. I asked the hairdresser ladies next door a few weeks ago and they said they hadn't seen him either. He seemed to have disappeared!

Well said Sarah,I would like to wish this gentleman and his family well.

Gossip from one of the other shops says the poor owner went abroad on holiday and came back very ill so only goes on when he can, occasionally. I was so sorry to hear this and wish him a full recovery. X

Its a weird one. Been closed for about a year now I believe but all the stock still there. Its as if the owner just closed the doors one night and never went back the next morning.

In the old days we had Gerrards on Chiswick High Road two doors away from the Police Station (new). Another great little ironmongers. Like Taylor's gone, but not forgotten.

Google says so and their phone number has been reallocated. Shame.

Oh I hope not, it was a family run business taking over from a family run business. I always buy our brooms from there.
Sadly I believe that Vanessa could well be right. A brilliant store for so long, but I suppose they could well have been swallowed up by the big boys.
Think they may have gone out of business.
