Paul Personally I have no problems with the fans who make use of Twickenham Stadium, I feel far safer being around Twickenham Stadium on a match day than I do being anywhere near Griffin Park, not because of the Brentford fans, more out of the possibility of being caught up in the type of deplorable events that took place around Ealing Road on Saturday. That’s not to say that violence results week in and week out, but when it does, I don’t want to be caught up in it. Given that we live in environments, which have the benefit of sporting stadiums, and that we know that many fans will want to drink I can cope with an element of drunkenness providing that the police feel that they can control the situation. I agree with you on the urination impact but I can’t see why the management of sporting events cannot or will not provide facilities outside of the grounds, on the routes back to points of public transport at which fans can relieve themselves. Westminster City Council put out facilities on Friday and Saturday nights for this very reason. What’s to stop any local authority from doing the same as a condition of the stadium licence?
