Twickenham Road closed tonight: Chemical spill near Hosp

Traffic driving from Busch Corner down the Twickenham Road this evening has been diverted away from the entrance area of West Middx hospital and diverted up Amhurst Gardens..back to the London Road.On the other side of the Hospital...267 buses had been diverted up Worton Road..and Bridge Road.Apparently the Chemical spill incident was reported in Ceefax. Police redirecting traffic.News at it happens!!

What very sad news about last night's accident.....and the shock of the bad news for the gentleman's family and friends....and the personnel who had to deal with the aftermath.Apologies for the error re the cause of the incident...I should have asked the Policeman who redirected me up Amhurst Gardens..just along from the Hospital entrance.It was a person at a house nearby that I visited who said..for some reason.. Ceefax had reported a chemical spill.I must say that I tend to give way to traffic entering or leaving the Hospital...as one assumes that some of those drivers are in an anxious or mentally pre-occupied state.Sad.

Also something going on in Hanworth Rd from Saxon Ave up to junction with Uxbridge Rd. near Hanworth LIbrary - all of the pavements cordoned off with Police tape both sides in Hanworth Rd. and Saxon Ave closed completely. Police in evidence and PCSOs on duty. Only happened to see this as we went to the flicks in Feltham tonight - anyone heard anything?
