HOUNSLOWVIANS WILL FLY THE FLAG IN THIER THOUSANDS.

The strongest message we could possibly get to the few who decided not to fly our flag on the civic centre is a show of solidarity in WEST LONDON, WITH THOUSANDS  of ST George, flags flying from all sources.

In fairness I believe Councillor Hughes should be given his own unedited column in the Labour Party's general election address.  If his party won't accept my suggestion we may well give him a column in ours.

VanessaNo! No! and thrice No! Baldrick was highly entertaining and therefore had great virtue. Cllr Hughes on the other hand is like a vacuum and as a friend of mine regularly recounts, “nature abhors a vacuum".

Prospective candidates having to prove to us that they are in possession of a modicum of sense would be wonderful. Students at schools are asked to do it by way of essays demonstrating that they understand their subject, so what’s so wrong with prospective councillors having to do the same?

Vanessa I couldn't agree with you more. These Labour councillors, every one of them, damned well deserve to suffer for their idiocy. I only hope that through their suffering they have the time to reflect and accept the inevitable consequences that their idiotic scheme results in for themselves and for the party. In my time within local government, I can’t recall having come across a more enlightening example of brainless self-destruction of the party, from within. What these Labour councillors must have gone through since the news of their little scheme imploded can’t be in any way helped by having Cllr Hughes amongst their number, the man truly redefines lunacy.

good on you ill be flying more than one flag and my buntings as well  superdrug are selling st georges flags at reduced price and i think the carnival shop in northfeilds have has them too.and dont forget those  good old party songs that night maybe its because im a londoner and lambeth walk.

I wore my national emblem today and on St George's Day the flag will be flying from my window too.

It will certainly be flying in this part of Isleworth I assure you, roses will also be sported.
