I think you could entitle this 'Labour breaks promise'. Readers of this forum will recall the on-going row over the horses in our park and the letter the Dear Leader wrote to people who responded to the consultation (an A4 sheet tied on a fence). In his reply the Dear Leader gave an undertaking that local councillors would participate in a 'working party' with residents to discuss the issues and what could be the way forward for the park's future. Needless to say residents have again had to keep push, push push, to get councillors to shift themselves, then they would only talk to a small number of residents they decided upon. Meanwhile a group of us have been putting our minds to what we hope might be the start of a reasonable solution in the absence of Hounslow doing sweet F.A. in all these months. I spent much of yesterday afternoon communicating with Cllr. Mayne on why no progress has been forthcoming, I asked him three times where is the 'working party'? Answer came there none! You may draw your own conclusion, what is it that these twerps are so afraid of? As I said we'd really like to work with them but by Christ they do all they can to make that as difficult as possible, why did any of them want to be on the council? Answers on a postcard please.
