Old age puff
A new beauty term?Perusing the washing powder isle of Chiswick Sainsbury’s I was hemmed in by three elderly ladies (just short of their 90's by all accounts). I wasn't in a hurry and had to actually check out what the offer on the packet actually meant, so I half heard the conversation as I read the packets. The Ladies had gone through their hello's; where they all lived now; and why they had bumped into each other in Sainsbury’s, having come over from Isleworth ... the answer being there is only one bus to Chiswick Sainsbury’s and it takes 2 buses to their old shopping venue. They then moved on to skin care and how old they were and how lovely their skins were. Younger girls (I took it they meant girls in the 40's/50's/60's) were all splashing on all this moisturising cream, and they didn't put anything other than water on their faces. Occasionally they dipped into the cold cream jar, but they were very pleased at how their skins looked, how young they looked and how none of them had gone down with old age puff...
