Where is Guy these days?

Although miles apart in a political sense I always thought that Guy Lambert was one of the good guys out there and enjoyed his posts on here so its a shame he seems to have been instructed to now keep away from this forum like his colleagues in the Labour Group obviously have been over the last couple of years

In the other hand the 'discouraged' comment could be used by some as an excuse not to communicate which suits some right down to the ground? Some are conspicuous by their absence it seems to me.

I agree.  And for what it is worth I very much enjoyed Councillor Lambert's first update, which upheld a fine and respected tradition established by one of his predecessors, Matt Harmer.I do seem to recall a remark from Councillor Sampson, made on this forum shortly before the most recent local elections, which seemed to suggest that local Labour councillors were "discouraged" (I think that was the word used) by their party from using these forums.  "Discouraged" does not mean "prohibited" of course, but the sentiment would seem to run contrary to Guy's inference that his continued presence here was approved of.No matter, let us be appreciative of the update and look forward to hearing more news in the future.

Still here and still posting. Nobody is 'instructing' me not to post - rather the opposite actually - and in any event I said clearly in the election campaign that I would communicate and that's what I will do. My bosses are actually the electors rather than anybody else.I may be a little more circumspect than hitherto about things where I have privileged knowledge or possibly legal constraints but I'm not going to shut up, or stop blogging on here.
