A Brentford 1 bed flat going for £650 per square foot!

http://www.foxtons.co.uk/property-for-sale-in-brentford/chpk4080508Is there a more expensive part of Brentford?Mine you it's on an 18th floor.And it does have the Kew tag.But £400,000 for less than a 600 Sq feet 1 bed flat seems excessive...or is this what local regeneration is about for locals.

How much would you need to earn to even think about buying? You'd need at least £200,000 for a deposit, stamp duty, legal costs etc.It is pretty disgraceful that the vast majority of people couldn't even look at anything like this, bearing in mind the average wage is now only £27,000 p.a. and there are a lot of people who don't even earn anything like that. Obscene state of affairs.

It is completely obscene and the rub is many people have been dismissed as scaremongers and idiots for predicting and warning of this.The problem is now that more is provided for those who have not earned, saved, paid taxes.But those who have done all that is expected of them, worked hard, saved hard and grown up locally have absolutely no chance of remaining here.So much should and could have been done, but the blinkers are still on in too many quarters. The profits of a few are being protected.There is a lot more authorities could have done but the last 3 governments laid the seeds for this and did nothing.And I'm afraid that Boris has played too big a part in allowing too many developments purely for investors to be thrown up all over London.He will be long gone as Mayor when all this backfires big time.
