Brentford Fountain leisure centre

Please be careful when leaving the leisure centre. The steps are lethal, especially when wet. I fell over yesterday and went down like a sack of spuds, badly bruising my arm and back. I'd hate a youngster to seriously hurt themselves.

Sorry to read of that nasty incident Richard..and I hope you recover quickly.That's a good warning for others who visit the facility.So long as you haven't damaged your fine singing voice.................. ;0)

Very sorry to hear this is still the case even after the refurbishment a few years back.My father had a terrible fall on the walking areas from the changing rooms to the pools a  few years ago, absolutely treacherous.The a few weeks later, I took a tumble there as well. I've not been back sinceI had asked if those who are less than super agile can wear jelly shoes like those worn by sea swimmers which have great grip but it is not permitted.Slipping and hurting oneself is though permitted.The steps outside are a bit dodgy especially in the wet, always have been but at least theres a hand rail and we are wearing shoes and clothing to protect us a bit.  But it should be made safe. Not sure how though.
