£6.50? It's an event I've always enjoyed, especially the food stalls, but I don't see how they can justify charging that much.

The official attendance was around 15,000 which is about a quarter of the number that usually turn up but still a decent amount.

I paid at the gate- £7.50, which is a lot for what it is. Much less crowded that in the past, which was nice, with the weather a major bonus. I guess the cost discouraged the usual hordes of numpetys, but did take away some of the atmosphere. The food, as always, was excellent.

It did seem much less busy despite being blessed with good weather. Tickets were available for £3.50 on Groupon the day before the event so sales may have been disappointing.

How did the Mela do? Anyone know? I drove past Gunnersbury Park a couple of times yesterday and it seemed an awful lot quieter than in previous years.
