Tonights evening entertainment

Anyone else venturing to the Civic Centre this evening to see how much our Council Tax will rise?

Am delaying my departure to the Civic Centre in the hope a blizzard will leave me housebound and able to do something interesting like watch the football!

Paul I won't be there but I hope that the councillors do the right thing and maintain essential services and if need be, go back to government to ask for more funds.

LOL,I would love to have seen Cllr Lynch singing to John Connelly.Its a shame the webcast archives do not go back that far.

There were times when I have cried with laughter at some meetings - most memorably when one of the Tories, Paul Lynch, serenaded John Connelly with I'm too sexy for my shirt! By and large I found most meetings useful and informative sometimes they were extremely enjoyable, others would make watching grass grow exciting. Now I am no longer required I have found other things that need my attention far more.

Were budget meetings not your cup of tea then Vanessa?What meetings if any did you enjoy when you were on the Council or is enjoy too strong a word? There must of been a few funny tales of your time in the Chamber?
