The date is 6th April 2016. From that date, any dog older than 8 weeks that is not a certified working dog, or does not have a certificate of exemption from a vet (on reasons of health), must be micro-chipped. If anyone cannot get to the chipping clinics then they can also come to us by appointment and have their dog chipped. The micro-chips that we implant are provided to us free of charge by the Dogs Trust.

This is a sad reason for microchipping so ignore if you wish.  Neighbours very scatty but adorable kitten reached the one year point and was killed by a car this week.  The roadworks at Syon Lane has increased the traffic volume of cars speeding and ducking in and out on the local residential roads and possibly one of those cars hit the kitten.  They didn't bother to stop.  The rspca were called and because of the microchip, we know the story.  RIP Frankie.
