A4 footbridge near canal Brentford

Maybe we should capture some photographs of the view along the road while the footbridge is down?  Anyone with a superdoopah camera prepared to dash up there before the view is obscured for another 100 years? Jus a thought ....

Hi Julia.  The rickety iron footbridge which spanned the A4, all 6 lanes, has been removed.  It was outside the old Firestone building up by the canal which is now PC World, I think.  The view is different because the bridge is not there so there is a clear view along to the 'sky scrapers'.  I don't know if the bridge will go back refurbished or as a solid walled bridge, maybe with wheelchair access.  Does anyone know what is proposed?

Hi Sarah sorry but having a few technical difficulties this morning. First I deleted your email in a fit of coughing whilst trying to reply and then totally lost your email and don't have your email address. Then I couldn't reply back to you through here. I am trying again. I am not well at the moment and so can't pop down and take a photo. I have asked Simon in my office to arrange for someone to pop down. We are a little unsure which bridge.... Along the towpath behind the Holiday Inn? If you could let Simon know and yes we are always looking for anything interesting for our postcards. Thank you so much for letting us know.
