Wheelie bin (yes again) safety advice.

I came across this advice from Cheshire Fire & Rescue service today in case others with small front gardens would like to quote these simple safety points to the council, once again these bins are not suitable for our property IMHO.Link below but note the steps they list as minimum safety points!"Do not store rubbish or wheelie bins/refuse containers by windows or doors - any fire in the bin could easily spread to your property.Do not store your wheelie bin/refuse containers in close proximity to a building.Do not allow bins or rubbish to block escape routeshttp://www.cheshirefire.gov.uk/news-events/press-releases/wheelie-bin-fire-causes-damage-to-two-runcorn-households

I hope people that are against these crap bins have made an official complaint to the council, then go to the local Government Ombudsman, the more do this the better. Other councils have gotten away with a wheelie bin rollout, I bet this one is hoping they will too.When I walk out of my house and look down the street at all the naff bins, crammed in the tiny front gardens, popping up at random angles or lying on the pavement, it looks sad and depressing, wait till they are overflowing with rubbish, half painted & broken.Well done councilors..amazing work, you managed to spoil a lovely community in one day.

Does anyone who signed the petition against wheelie bins work as a legal or knows someone who is a legal who can advise on a way forward?

Take a look in Grosvenor road this morning,Bins left all over the pavement, impossible for the elderly and several regular wheelchair users to get to and from the park.What a mess.

And in some households there isno spacefor them at all.

This was posted by myself a few weeks ago.Another local resident has found a whole raft of safety guidelines from dozens of fire services, as well as other safety bodies.
