Yes and no. I would rather have seen him halve the proposed reduction and increase the minimum wage to whatever would make up the shortfall and make it legally enforcable. It would make employers pay a decent wage and stop the ludicrous system of workers subsidising other workers through payments from there tax contributions as we have now.The recent vote in the Lords made me wonder how many of the lords were ceo's of big companies or friends of others from big business and who voted to reject the decrease so that their companies don't have to pay a decent wage. I also think that the likes of Tesco, Asda and any big national employer should not expect the taxpayer to subsidise their workers wages.A small employer needing help I can understand buy not the big boys.
