David In response to you: “Taking small snippets of a conversation does not prove a point people would need to read the whole context of the thread I was asked why I support Ireland in the ruby…..” - “I also was taunted at school for being Half Irish.”- So if you see yourself as being half Irish and half English you support Ireland because someone taunted you for being half Irish.  Good to see that you are at least somehow patriotic, despite the fact that having been born in England you are by birth, English. “I gave an honest answer, which is more then you have ever done.” - David, what questions have you put to me that I have not answered for you? Let me know if there are any outstanding issues and I’ll gladly clarify anything that you are unsure of. “I have posted debate items to which guess what the same old faces like your self turn up to have a pop. You seem to think it I wont respond and then become outraged when I give back to you double”. - David, if your postings are not intended to be responded to you might wish to consider not posting them. However, when you put up so many unintelligent and questionable postings you can hardly complain when others, including myself, respond, unless of course you believe that since being democratically elected to office as a councillor for Bedfont, you and the New Labour group at the Civic Centre believe that you are somehow ruling a totalitarian borough of London known as the London Borough of Hounslow. As for, “I give back to you double”, let me know when that happened, I must have blinked and missed it.  “The tears dont work mate, and know doubt you will return with more of the same. The woman angle is a new one but overall I think I have dished out more to men overall does that make me homophopic now”.- David, what tears are you on about? Is a homophopic someone who takes pictures of men?

Paul Cllr Hughes has proven time and time again that he is devoid of the ability to debate any meaningful subject or communicate with constituents without either having to make ridiculous and unsubstantiated claims or to have to resort to name calling. Hardly the type of person New Labour need as a councillor for a further term in Bedfont when the Liberal Democrats hold two of the three seats in Bedfont is it? If New Labour genuinely wanted to regain control of the Bedfont ward they wouldn’t allow Cllr Hughes to in effect commit himself or the party to the path of political suicide which is what Cllr Hughes seems on course and intent to achieve. Councillors Peter Hills, John Howliston and the Liberal Democrat party must be delighted with the news of how Cllr David Hughes is coming across to potential voters not only through the antics of Cllr Hughes and the New Labour group at the Civic Centre but also of how Cllr Hughes is presenting himself on the Brentford and Chiswick forums. With the damage individuals like Cllr Hughes and his postings are capable of achieving it is little wonder that the New Labour party at Chiswick High Road recently issued an edict requesting councillors and party members not to post on political issues on either the Brentford or Chiswick forums, The damage Cllr Hughes has done, and continues to do to New Labour chances of having Ann Keen re-elected cannot be understated. Not only is Cllr Hughes generally abusive in his postings, they are also full of inconsistencies, either because he has not got the evidence to support his viewpoint or because he has absolutely no conviction in what he is attempting to put across, which seems more often than not to be the case. By way of example, take the fiasco Cllr Hughes and others from the New Labour group at the Civic Centre got involved with over flying the flag of St George and Cllr Hughes’s part in the subsequent retraction by the Labour group of their idiotic pronouncement. The fallout from the fiasco over the flying of the flag of St George on 23rd April can’t possibly have any positive political impact in Bedfont for New Labour or for that matter have any positive impact in any other ward within the borough. All that the issue has done is to further fragment support from among long standing Labour supporters, not a sensible move by New Labour locally under the leadership of Cllr Ellar by anyone’s reckoning. What Cllr Hughes fails to appreciate is that Cllr David Hughes seems to be offering himself up as a willing sacrificial lamb by Cllr Ellar, Cllr Chat and others who for all intents and purposes look as if they want to rid themselves of Cllr David Hughes who has for a long time has been the weakest link and a liability. As for Cllr Hughes and his assertion that he is a pacifist, all I can say is that he comes across loud and clear as a victim turned perpetrator if he feels justified in name calling anyone who opposes his views. And as someone who is without power and someone who feels that he can bully and manipulate others to get what he wants when in reality he clearly can’t. The only trouble with that is that Cllr Hughes and his lack of power coupled with his lack of understanding of how to gain trust and then to influence others to get what he wants will lead Cllr Hughes on a long road to nowhere.
