Great turnout for the march yesterday in Isleworth

Have to say how impressed I was with the number of residents who turned up to march against the Councils decision to close Church Street and it can only be a matter of time before the councillors cave in and admit how wrong they wereThe local community at its finest and shows we will not just simply roll over and accept their idiotic ideas which they try and impose on us

It's taken a while, but I've noticed that the traffic problems on Twickenham Road have begun to have a knock-on effect on London Road and Amhurst Gardens, which was always inevitable.  The latter will invariably impact still further upon the ambulance service, who use it as a quick short-cut to circumvent difficulties on the Twickenham Road.

Yes, I think the organisers have managed to galvanise more people into action, quite how long this action will take to have any impact on the thought processes of our councillors is quite another matter. Theo Dennison is banging on about 'citizen engagement' well, start here and engage over Church St. If not this then what do they intend to 'engage' with us on? I am trying to think of one single issue since the last elections where they haven't ballsed something up. To get dropped off at the start of the march yesterday we had to go up St. Johns to the London Rd. and round as the Twickenham Rd. was solid, and that on a Saturday afternoon!
